BROOKFIELD, Wis. – North Shore Bank today announced that it will host a 15th Anniversary Celebration at its Kenosha Central branch (6906 Green Bay Rd.) on Friday Oct. 10 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday Oct. 11 from 9 a.m. to noon.
On Friday, visitors can enjoy a sampling of food from local restaurants during Taste of Kenosha from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The bank will also host a wine tasting from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and experts will be available all day to answer lending, retirement and business banking questions.
On Saturday, guests can enjoy a build-your-own ice cream sundae bar and hear fall landscaping tips from Stein Garden and Gifts experts. Also, the first 100 attendees will receive free tulip and daffodil bulbs.
On both days, attendees will also have the opportunity to enter to win prizes, including a $500 North Shore Bank Gift Card.
North Shore Bank is currently conducting its 13th Annual Collection of Tattered U.S. Flags and residents can drop off their worn flags during the event. Then the bank will have the flags properly dispose of in a patriotic manner during a Veterans Day flag retirement ceremony in November.
Additionally, the bank will donate $1 per flag (up to $1,000) to Stars and Stripes Honor Flight, which flies local WWII, Korean War and terminally ill veterans from other conflicts to Washington D.C. to visit their respective memorials. The public is also welcome to make contributions to help send Wisconsin veterans to Washington D.C.
“We’re thrilled to be celebrating 15 years in Kenosha with this fun event,” said Robin Callis, branch manager for the Kenosha Central office. “We invite the public to come out and help us celebrate 15 wonderful years as part of the Kenosha community.”
