BROOKFIELD, Wis. – North Shore Bank today announced that its Menasha office, located at 1500 Appleton Road, will host a community fundraiser with free coin counting for the public and collection of monetary donations to help the Neenah-Menasha firefighters continue their Santa Float and Santa visits tradition on Saturday, November 25.
Anyone can drop off cash donations to support the cause, plus those who bring in loose change to be counted can either donate it or receive dollars in return. The bank will tally the total amount counted throughout the day and match it in the form of a donation (up to $1,000) to the Neenah-Menasha Fire Department to help support needed upgrades to their Santa float. Those who stop by between 10:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. can also see the current Santa Float, meet the firefighters, and check out a fire truck.
The Neenah-Menasha Firefighters Union, Local 275, has a time-honored annual tradition of creating a Santa Float for the residents in the Cities of Neenah and Menasha. Off-duty firefighters from Local 275 volunteer their time every year to make preparations for the float, and four to six firefighters volunteer each night to help Santa make his rounds for all ten nights. The Santa Float is made possible by monetary donations from Local 275 Firefighters, local businesses and citizens from the Cities of Neenah and Menasha.
